The garden included a large pile of soil, which was created during the excavation of the foundations of the house. In the design we dealt with this by creating an artificial hill at the end of the garden. It houses a small hobbit house for garden tools and it also has a children’s slide leading out of it. The hill is densely planted, so it fits in beautifully with the garden and also serves as a visual barrier.
